Iguana Death Cult x Tiny Tears

Iguana Death Cult are back with a new 7" and some new US tour dates.  The A side to the upcoming 7" is called Tiny Tears and as the band explains: "I cry everyday. I cry over people telling other people what they can and can’t do with their own bodies. I cry over some dude getting crowned king over the simple fact he was born into a certain family. I cry over the atrocities brought forth by capitalism on my thousand euro phone. Necessary evil? Perhaps. Grotesque nonetheless. But I cry the loudest, when it’s Monday morning and my train is delayed, and I spilled coffee all over my shirt. Again, I do nothing. Poor old me."

The band recently visited the studios of Seattle’s KEXP where they performed songs off their recent critically acclaimed album Zuma 85  - “Right On Time,” “The Stuff,” “Jelly,” and “The Fall.”

This tour will mark Allah-Las first trip to the East Coast since the release of Zuma 85 which was released last fall via their own label, Calico Discos, in partnership with Innovative Leisure.  The band teased the LP with several videos - “Sky Club,”  “The Stuff,” and Dust,” The Fall,” and “Jelly” -  and they saw support from Under The Radar, Brooklyn Vegan, Austin Town Hall, Buzzbands LA, The Big Takeover, MOJO and Ghettoblaster, among others.
Sam Blasucci x Linger

Sam Blasucci releases a cover version of "Linger" by The Cranberries, the third album single off his forthcoming debut solo LP Off My Stars. Blasucci reveals, "The Cranberries’ song "Linger" is one I’ve always loved and wanted to perform, but I never really found its place. When I spoke to Johnny Payne (producer) about making a solo record, I told him that I wanted to expose things in me as they are, without altering them to make me appear any certain way. I think that comes through in our version of this song. Some words that remind me of "Linger" are midnight, tide, rock, salt, and breath."

Mapache x Tend Your Garden

Mapache — the LA duo of Sam Blasucci and Clay Finch — shares new single “Tend Your Garden,” a whispered ode to longing and the painfully slow process of falling in love. It’s the latest preview from their new record Roscoe’s Dream, out June 10th on Innovative Leisure / Calico Discos. With sparkling steel guitar and a haiku-like lyrical simplicity rooted in natural imagery, “Tend Your Garden” is a soothing lullaby recast in sunshine. “Start by closing your eyes, you can see it now,” Mapache sings, “Only dreaming it will not grow, how I love you… you’ll never know.”
