    Artist Bio:

Kirsten Azan, baptized BAMBII, is one of Canada’s most compelling DJs. Whether online or on dancefloors, her political and musical vernacular give credence to dance music’s ever expanding reach, the relationships it helps forge between individuals, cultures and spaces.  As proof, she’s completed her 3rd European tour as a solo artist and has also toured Asia. She’s supported some of the world’s most relevant artists—Mykki Blanco, Kelela, and Bbymutha just to name a few.

BAMBII released her debut EP "NITEVISION" feat. Pamputtae in late 2019 while her notorious Toronto event series ‘JERK’ was still hitting capacity.  Her work has been publicized in DAZED, Fader, Wonderland, Vogue, and Metal Magazine.

Following an extended stay in Jamaica during the Covid-19 lockdown, her next EP "TRUCK RIDDIM" marks BAMBII's first release since "NITEVISION."  The "TRUCK RIDDIM" EP features the original instrumental version of the title-track as well as two remixes, the first with the Jamaican born, Miami based BEAM, who recently featured twice on Justin Bieber's latest album Justice and collaborated with Major Lazer and M.I.A, and the second with Kingston's LatyKim imbuing the riddim with a feminine touch.

On her upcoming project, Infinity Club finds BAMBII building on her already-impressive sonic repertoire, encapsulating the sound of a generation of Caribbean youth living between two worlds. On the heels of bringing her kinetic production style to Kelela's recent album Raven, this new EP establishes BAMBII as a trailblazing voice in the intersecting worlds of electronic and Caribbean music. The project opens the door to a limitless space that blurs the lines between memories and dreams, anchored by ecstatic production by BAMBII that centers on the solace one can find in the middle of a crowded dance floor. In BAMBII's telling, Infinity Club soundtracks an anonymous space holding a community of bodies all flowing to the same rhythm: "Infinity Club knows no age, or social construct. It's for everyone, everywhere. In all ways, always."
